Hey guys, I have a newb question here. $1800 later and going wrong completly about trying to fix my car. It turns out that the ECU is bad on my car. I'm buying one from a friend of a friend. I have never done buisness with him before but My question is, Is there a visual difference from a 1g FWD ECU and another one, for example a non turbo ecu,1g awd, 2g fwd, 2g awd? I don't want to spend $100 and this guy rip me off. Thanks in advance
For the most part they look the same. See if you can get the serial #s off the one you are buying and post them up. You can easily look them up to find what it is out of.

Case not closed, sorry guys. The dude that im getting it from got it from his friend.(hope that makes sense) The dude that gots it now says its from a 92 Awd Talon. I told him that it won't work for me. he swears up and down that it will work because he is running a awd ecu on his fwd. WIll the 92 awd drive work on my 91 fwd? He says that its a eprom ecu. Mine isn't a eprom. What do i do guys? Thanks in advance
