I drive an 1995 eclipse gs 5 speed and i just replaced a power steering belt and it blew out i got gas befor the power steering belt came off and it was sputtering a little bit then i gave it to her and the belt shot off and now it idles perfectly but after 4k rpms it cuts power and just studders/bogs like it wants to die. I cleaned my idle screw and maf a few weeks ago. I have new spark plugs and wires. Also had a headgasket down a few months ago.
Your cutout is most likely due to boost leaks, or timing/electrical problems. Fix the belt, ensure you have the right plugs (NGK BPR6ES, gapped at .028-.032), and ensure you have ZERO boost leaks. Then, come back.

My car is non turboed, when i get to 4500rpms it shoots back down to 4000 and kicks/boggs then it goes to 5000. Plugs are gaped right, and i checked my timing i put it in a high gear and let it bog down its all seems fine no kicks or anything. Its only when i drive fast or put the pedal all the way down the car kicks/boggs.
Ok so i can casually drive my car to high rpms with no kicks or noises but if i slightly move my foot more to the gas it kicks and rpms are off the charts and i stoped at a stop sign and my car was stuck on 4k with clutch in then i poped it into N and it still didt go down till i drove away, this is just getting irratating
