Re: Transmission issue?

Can you physically hold it into gear? Like when you shift it into second, keep your hand on the shifter and keep it in gear?

Re: Transmission issue?

Chances are the hub/slider assembly is shot and it needs a trans rebuild. It comes from when synchros go bad from clutch dragging or just tons of miles and people force the car to shift through the grinding and it eventually rounds off the teeth that the hub slider lock into (don't know the technical term).

Also please make an effort to use caps/punctuation as it is very annoying to read and it is well laid out in the rules...

Re: Transmission issue?

Thank you, and I will work on the punctuation and capitalization of my posts... With that being said, any ideas on where to buy the rebuild kit? Thank you again.

Re: Transmission issue?

http://www.jackstransmissions.com or http://www.teamrip.com/ both sell parts for DSM transmissions but there are other vendors as well.

Re: Transmission issue?

Emailing Jack @ Jack's Transmissions is the way to go. He'll tell you what is causing the issue and what most likely needs repaired. I'm sure he can quote you what it would cost to fix as well.
