timing connector grounding?

Hey everyone I know this might be a dumb questions but how exactly do I ground the timing connector on my 96 gst? I know its the brown connector in the firewall, but its round and has only a small circle. How would I ground that? The other two empty connectors next to it have two entrances but the brown circular one only has a small circle and that's it. I'm at a lost here and I'm trying to set my base timing.

Get a wire and ground it to the negative terminal on the battery.
