95 talon tsi awd a/t.....145mph, i did that personally bone stock. I think its about that for all the awd cars 1g and 2g, the fwd can do like 155-160 if u take out the chip that limits them to 130....so ive heard

I wonder if those figures are for one with the spare tire and jack stand in? Wat about washer fluid? Or how much gas exactly was in the tank? Hell take out the Passenger seat and the backseat and I wonder what it would run. I know this isn't the original post but I was just saying I wonder what the difference would be since it would be about 150 lb difference, which could change things a bit.

I would like to see some max MPH figures for modded cars along with mods, everyone always seems to ask me that "Whats the fastest your car goes?" and it's not like I am stupid or have the balls to actually go out on a highway and try it. Maybe I should just ship my car to the autobahn.

NO WAY the first gen awds top out stock at 137, thats not what the speedo shows but RPM relationship is a better measure ie 2k in 5=x so 6250k in 5=

hold on a bone stock FWD will do 155-160 NO WAY in hell. lets take into account 210 hp well, bla, bla, bla gearing may allow it but air resistance at that speed is crazy high i mean going from 140 to 160 requires like way more power, like lets say 210=140 well then 450=160, hell maybe more I want to raise the bs flag on 160 in a fwd bone stock.

Yea you're right, factoring in the coefficient of drag instead of just weight that would definately prove that 160 is way too high.

Does anyone know what the CD of a 3rd gen RX7 is? Because they top out at around 160

I HAD a lightly modded GST and it only topped off at about 145mph or so. (i was shitten my pants what i did it) but i did remember seeing it past 140mph.. could it of gone faster.... honestly.... NOPE.. car was struggling just to get to 140...

16g-95GSX: sorry bro but i heard they close the "top End" section of the Autobahn about a year ago.. i guess you just gotta top your car off like the rest of us.... on the freeway.. )

weight has nothing to do w/ top speed... weight affects how quick it takes you to get to the top speed.

I had my old 1994 turbo FWD going ~140 with three people in the car and a hatch full of stuff. Took a pretty good length of road to get it up there. The car seemed pretty damn unstable on stock suspension at that speed.

lowering?

Would lowering a car affect the top end? I would think so but Im not for sure. 140MPH is still pretty damn fast.
