I was wondering if anyone has racing strips on their car. I'm looking at doing some type a striping. Should I go vinyl or paint? How much do you'll think it would be for either? If you have some pics please post them!
My advice would be to try it out with the vinyl and if you like the look have them done in paint. I dislike the vinyl because it looks dull compared to the surrounding paint. I have seen a 2G with 2 6" stripes straight up the center and I liked it alot. There is a red 2G with white stripes in the pic archive at http://www.dsm.org
Mike at DSS has grey stripes on his 91 talon. Very subdued but they look good. I was thinking about doing them on my 1G, but cant decide on the color. My car is white, so maybe grey or black stripes.
Damn, You really did bring this thing back from the Dead. HAHAHA.
Since it's opened again, This is the only kind of thing i wouldn't mind doing. Not in blue, but maybe in like black to go along with the Black/White theme on my 1g. Except the eagle logo would be mitsubishi.
Jesus! 6 years old! Haha how the hell did you even find this thread?!
Car looks pretty good though. Im not a fan of stripes but its done cleanly.
LOL I was actually searching around on different DSM sites to see what people were saying about the car and found this thread. I wasn't not a fan of the stripes at all but they definitely grow on you and I like them now. A new set will be going on the car this season after I buff out the paint and I will probably have another set put on after I paint it.
hm...I think that a single stripe on one side looks better than the duals, due to the hood having that bump. I saw a cavalier around here that had a red/grey stripe on one side of his car and it didn't look too bad, but i think it might work with a talon/clipse going over that bump.
