Test Pipe Choice

Hey, I've decided to just get a test pipe for now, instead of downpipe. I'm pretty sure there would be some HP gain just from tes pipe (99GSX, HKS Exhaust)
I found 2 places that sell em', 1st:

(there is 2 different kinds, price difference only $5, I'm not sure what's up with that)

2nd store:

ETP225A 2Gen 2.5" Test-Pipe AWD................................$40
ETP230A 2Gen 3" Test-Pipe AWD ..................................$40

(I'm guessing since I have HKS Exhaust, 3" one would work?)

WHICH one do you think is BETTER quality/performance to get based on your experience and why? thanks.

http://www.vfaq.com/mods/Brode/Brode-info.html - Only 2.5"

http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclexhaust.htm - Get this downpipe and it replaces the cat.

There are alot more places that sell stuff like this, but their prices are up there.

PS.. Moved from Gen Tech to Parts Talk.

a test pipe is a test pipe...pretty much all are the same, it's just a straight peice of pipe about a foot long. The only difference you should look for is stainless steel.
