I have a 92 talon and i was wondering on crutchfield.com they say these speakers wont fit: Pioneer TS-D690R
6"x9" 2-way Speakers and Pioneer TS-D160R
6-1/2" 2-way Speakers. I dont get why these wouldnt fit...I have the 6x9's in the back and the 6.5's in the front. Any Help would be great....And no i am not buying from there just using their site.

Hell, I didn't think they would fit either when I was parting out my 91 GS from the junkyard... Then I went to go put some of those peices in my car, take off the interior panel and WTF!! 6x9s!! How the hell did they manage that one???

I just wish I had a deck so I knew how they sounded

Because it's Crutchfield and they don't know shit!! I'm sure they have had many DSM's taken apart

You mean Crotchfeel? They sent me a new one yesterday. LOADS of entertainment!

They now have a big section devoted to ricing out your car. It's funny to read the Crotchfeel descriptions on crap like altezza lights, shift knobs, etc... A few excerpts:

"Tired of driving an average car? Toucan's Altezzas will definitely get you noticed around town! Their red lenses set in chrome will spice up the back end of your car..."

"Replace your windshield washers with these LED-equipped Eurolite versions. You'll still enjoy a clean windshield, plus the pin-point lighting looks amazing!"

"Put an APC window banner on your vehicle! Show off your great taste in performance parts and accessories. You can put an APC banner on a vehicle's glass (see picture below [of a riced shitvic Si]) or on its body."

Funniest thing in there was that Bazooka tube that is made to look like a NAAAWWWZZ bottle: "This 'bass in a bottle' comes with the 'tank,' cosmetic valve, braided speaker wire, and a complete aluminum mounting kit. It's unreal!"

It's actually the first time I've sat down and looked at a Crotchfeel catalog.. they kept me entertained with this one!

Some 6x9's are too deep to fit. At least in my laser, I tried to install some polk 6x9's but the magnet on them was simply too big. That may be their reason.

I just go to the local stero shop that has some good installers and ask one of them. They usually help out alot.

All it takes is time and money and you can make anything fit if you really want. Fiber Glass. You can mold to anything.

Hey, I like Crotchfeel, as long as its Elizabeth Hurley!!!

I ordered from Crutchfield, I don't worry about what they say will fit and what won't. I know the car, and can make most installs work without a headache. I don't like Circuit City, Best Buy, or even the local shop. Little to no knowledge when it comes to finding the proper match of amp to speaker, or the product line they carry (the guy at Circuit City calls Crutchfield for assistance) I purchase from them for the service. Any time I had a problem, it was fixed at LIGHTSPEED. I get what "I" want, not what some sales dork thinks I should get.
