A tow hook is required at all track events. Besides that, if you ever get a lowered car towed you'll know why a tow hook very necessary. Besides that, the Eclipse doesn't have any front (or rear) tow points.

yeah i refuse to lower my cars anymore, i had a 4 hour nightmare
when trying to get my last car towed.

Where did you buy the tow ring? I went thru all that bullshit of having a lowered car being a royal pain in the ass to get towed, not fun.
