Top speed you've gone?????

What is the top speed that you have gone in any car? What HP did it have?

I bounced of the rev limiter(127 mph) in my old Supercharged civic a number of times, but I've only had the GSX up to 125mph. I know it's got a lot more, but I'm getting some pretty bad blow-bye.......

ive gone 135 in my car and i was at 5500 rpm, as soon as i hit 135 car backed off almost as if i hit a speed limiter. ive gone just short of 170 in my uncles 96 911 turbo.

Just past the 145mph mark limit on the 1st gens.

I rode in a Supra that had the speed limiter removed and we hit just under 180mph and that was a bit crazy on a dark interstate at 2am. If there had been anything in the road at that speed that would have been our last memory.

I've had the ol GS to 127-129 (hard to tell) but 5th wouldn't pull anymore, maybe I hit the speed limiter.

135 and ran out of room. never went on the turnpike with it though. waiting to try that out once i get suspension. car still pulled in 5th pretty hard at 16psi but it was kinda floaty and when i was slowing down the brakes had hella fade.

i went 137 in my 92 TSi awd, stock except for k&n filter.. and my engine was missin at anything above 5k rpm at WOT, so the last 20mph or so of that was not flooring it

this was around midnite on i-80 west (2-lane) in illinois

great kills. i got mine up to 145 pretty much stock. had plenty of room left but iw as getting scared. stock suspension and stock tires had me worried. it was still pulling though.

I've gone 160mph in my 351W Capri - at that speed and the flat front end it was like pushing a wall of air

(the only reason for 2.73 gears - top speed)

Slammed the rev limter at 172mph in my SE-R. (This wasn't "speedo" verified either...the gear ratio and tire size at 7800rpm calculated to 172mph)

The car was still pulling like a frieght train. 409whp will do that.
