Re: Valve cover color

Still working on properly prepping the valve cover. I used a really strong chemical to strip the powder coating which worked great. Now I have to make sure to get all of the paint flakes that might have fallen behind the baffle. I wish there was a way to easily remove the baffle and reattach it once I cleaned behind it.

Re: Valve cover color

Damn it, you beat me to it. I guess you snooze, you lose. Looks really good Chris, It will go well with a black car. Time for me to get rid of my Evo Valve cover, and get to work on a DSM valve cover.

Re: Valve cover color

You need to add some text to the top of the cover.
This comes to mind.

Also had most of the body repainted (peeling clearcoat) by a first-class bodyshop. Took five weeks, for a total cost for both jobs of $4K. Car looks almost new now. BTW, damn tired of seeing the obnoxious Eclipse Cross commercials. It's heresy using the Eclipse name on a damn SUV.

Re: Valve cover color

That VC looks great. I would like to see it in an army green camo. That's what I want for my own.

Re: Valve cover color

Chris that's sweet.

I want to do a camo car. Not like red neck spray paint. Like a real camo pattern. I think I'm going to do fleck. And IDGAF who does it first because I'll do a whole car and you can bite me.

There's currently one done to an evo with the vinyl overlay stuff. They just got some digi camo vinyl and went to town. I can post pics up if you'd like.
