Yes, yes I'm a narrow minded moron. I've heard it time and time again. You and a few others are starting to sound like a broken record.

I don't care if the car is made of solid fucking GOLD. I'm not going to drop 46k on a car PERIOD. New, fast, turbo 4 cyl, twin turbo V8, I must be unique or something. I can't justify spending 46k on anything like a car. Then again, I guess you wouldn't understand that, would you?

There's much better ways to spend $46k. Like..a nice 1 bedroom house. Or you could invest it in stock, or you could put it in the bank and wait to see the bank go under and lose it. I could go on for days.

Not really, if I could buy a solid gold car for 46k that would be one hell of a steal. Gold is 938 dollars an ounce. Curb Weight of an '07 charger is 3740 lbs.

59,840 ounces of gold is worth $56,129,920.00.

Slow, fast whatever. The point is you didn't lose!
Where did I ever say that a srt-8 was fast?

Calm down, I was not like I was calling you out. An srt-8 charger is going to be faster than a charger, I understand what you're saying. All I did was add video of me beating one. And I stated that that day neither of us were very quick. I never saw where you stated where they were fast, I did see mention of "srt-8" and added my own experiences with the car.

The "You" in the quoted part of the reply was talking to the OP, talking about his race, basicly stating that, Fast or slow... you were still faster than the other guy. =win.

Re: 98 GSX Vs. 07 Charger RT

Yeah, yeah. New cars are good for a lot more than racing. But for a car that cost over 30g's, has a "hemi" and comes with rediculous paint like that. Your expecting something.

Things are just butthole from every angle if you ask me. Heavy. Not fast. Look stupid.

if you ask me that is.

Good thing you beat it

Re: 98 GSX Vs. 07 Charger RT

They are certainly better than the crap v6 FWD sedans American companies had been putting out in the 1990s.

*drives a cirrus* Lol. I completely agree though. I swear, when ford designed the taurus, the designers gathered in a room and said "Now how could we make this care more mundane and uninspired looking?"

The Charger looks like a pissed off avenger.

Well those were specialized performance models, while the Hemi Charger, Magnum, 300C, etc. are more mainstream.

Even if they aren't terribly quick (compared to modded DSMs), they are certainly decent for what they are designed to be. Much better than the average Malibu, Intrepid, etc.

Re: 98 GSX Vs. 07 Charger RT

Considering the car is still going to be made (Australia), I'm sure they'll probably just rebadge it as Chevy or something.

Edit: Talking about the G8.

The Avenger looks like a passive unaggressive Charger*.

*The Charger was released first, the used that look to inspire the Avenger.

The Monte Carlo SS and Impala SS are slow, and they have the Supercharger. Hell, look at the last gen GTPs with the 3800 Supercharged engine. They ran 15s stock. Fast for the average American Joe in a family car, but slow for car enthusiasts.

Besides, don't get me started on the HEMI today...it's just a name used as a marketing tool to sell it.
