I think Pookers is the closest to that one. He lives right in Ogden. When I come back from Missouri (should be back by the 28th) and no one's taken a look at it, I'll run up there and take a look.

I would be willing to go take a look at her in you'd like. Just a heads up though, I've only heard bad things about SS Auto. But yeah I would for sure go check her out, maybe test drive her...

If it can't be fixed with a hammer, it's an electrical problem!
Take pictures of everything if you can. Tell him you're looking at it for a friend and need to drive it.
As for the dealer, I can't really care about the service, etc... so long as the car is in good shape, that's all I'm looking for. The first trek for it is 1600 kms back to northern Canada, so it's gotta be decent.
If you can take a look for me, that would be fantastic. I'd get in touch with you while I' down (if it's a good car) and grab you a beer or five for checking it out.

Find out if any body work has been done, many older Evos have had the front bumper cover resprayed because they accumulate chips like crazy. Look close at the Brembos for peeling paint.
I've spent a lot of time around SLC and its kinda rare to see a really nice Evo on a used car lot in that area. Not sure if UtahGalant checks this board often but that dude would be good to ask.

Alright, thanks for the heads up on checking it out. I will definitely look into those.

Well, good news and bad news. The bad news is that during a very busy day yesterday with only the noob salesman there, he let some dumb kids go out and test drive it, and they spun a rod bearing! Good news is that the bottom end is being rebuilt as we speak. Should be done this week. He said that he just emailed some pictures to you of the car. What I need you to do in order for me to test drive it, you will have to tell him that you will not be buying it unless they let me drive it, and that I am very knowledgeable about cars so they don't talk to me like I'm a freaking baby like they did today. lol So that is the status report so far.
