Rear Freeze Plug leaking

Rear freeze plug apparently popped the other night, and is spraying coolant against the firewall at a pretty significant rate. It's got all kinds of rusty goo around it.

Wondering if anyone has recommendations on how to replaceŚ
The 4G64 is in one of my '88 Mitsubishi vans, and there is only about 2" clearance between the plug and the firewall; pretty difficult to access...only visible from underneath, and a full arm's length away.

Possible to replace the plug without removing the entire head? Maybe with some sort of rubber expansion plug?

Re: Rear Freeze Plug leaking

I can not imagine getting a regular plug back in there, so your only hope may be one of those universal rubber ones.
