Will my non California car smog in California?

I drive a 1999 GSX. I live in California (Very strict smog laws) but my car was first sold in Minnesoda. When the time comes to smog my car, is there anything I am going to need to do or replace with CA parts? What exactly is so differant about my car then in a CA car?

Longer response at Tuners. Federal cars don't have to be Californicated. I don't know if your air filter will pass visual.

Oh, I'm possitive that the air cleaner will not pass. I meant, that if I put all the stock parts back on will it be enought to pas smog. I realize that the aftermarket stuff is a no-no when smog time comes around. I was speaking of a stock federal car passing smog here in California. Thanks for the info though guys.

Yup, when the VIN tells the State computer it's a Federal car, it'll set the pass requirements accordingly. You'll be fine once you make everything look right for the inspector.
