ahh, hes trying to to keep it at a certain rpm nevermind,,, :(

edit:
haha I like the part when the driver says, "Switch it over to high." After that the LS1 is done.
I picked it up on SF also.

That is the first time I have seen someone 2-step a car while rolling. Then again, seeing as how his turbo fell flat on its face, I'd hit the step too. Also sounded like it was breaking up..

Decent race :)

Damn Ivan you are a search freak  ...i have to admit that you find some of the best hard to find videos. That GST was a monster. And that LS1 wasnt bad either..atleast in the 1st race :p

;) After more than 20psi, the LS1 was toast.

That would be the "NLTS" (no lift to shift) feature found on a modded eprom chip or DSMLink. Notice the rpms holding around 6k in the video? That's usually where most have the NLTS programmed to hold during a shift.
I'm not familiar with the modded eprom or DSMLink, I went straight to AEM. (Also has a soft cut rev limiter aka NLTS)

His limiter is set at 5.5k, which is where most people set their 2-step/launch control. Why would he set his no-lift to fall almost completely out of the powerband?
man i cant wait for my DSM link to arrive!! this vid just makes me smile from ear to ear.....hope my gs-t will run like that soon!!! props to driver for a sick ass car
my no lift to shift is set at 5500. Too bad my speed sensor is bad, so it doens't work right :(

and holy chit

that gs-t is pretty fast. It pulled the headlights out of that fbody.
holy shit...i raced that LS1 before....his name is CJ, pretty cool guy. That camaro is fast as fuck, we went from a roll and he worked my shit hard, then went from a roll and it was a lil closer but he beat me still!
Umm yeah after the first run I was worried, but from that point on that car was a serious beast.

5500 is simply too low if you ask me, unless you have a small turbo. And if he is running 11.70's in a FWD car, I highly doubt he has anything smaller than a 60 trim. I've never had a car with the NLTS set below 6k, simply due to the spool characteristics of the particular turbo I'm running.

11.7 is nice and all

but we all know
11.7 with a gst means a low 11 high 10 sec trap.

i bet that gst can bake street rubber in 4th gear :-D
FWD ownz. This thing has been downloading for 5 minutes on a broadband connection for me. :(

FWD sux ballz. Name ONE single sanctioned body that races from a ROLL, and doesn't require turning. Exactly. All racing from a roll does is shows who has a better hp to weight ratio, that is ALL. If a car makes good power, great. Go have fun. But put it in an actual DRAG RACE, and see what that poor little FWD car can do.

Purpose built FWD cars are an exception to this rule. I'm talking about every day, full body, full interior, daily driven street cars.

I was being a smart ass, but nonetheless keep the FWD sucks BS to yourself. The car appears to pull hard and a high 11 is far from slow. I'm sick of closing threads because someone always has to start the FWD sucks shit. 90% of the people that bash FWD's have never driven a heavily modded one long enough to learn how to make the most of it.

fixed :)

i've driven one 2g gst that was a low 14 car and it was actually kind of fun. With AWD, you'll rarely get any type of burning rubber action, even on a hard turn under moderate throttle.

but with a gs-t, if you have enough power. You can hammer it at 60 and light the rubber. It has it's own intimidation.
