I picked up the car Saturday and the car was running fine just wouldn’t move. (Auto trans). Also the car would take forever to Rev up. So I moved the TPS and the base idle screw and the car started running a little better enough to drive down the road. Well while I was driving it back home the car started sputtering and completely died. I’ve spent all day trying to get it to start. When I crank it all I can smell out the exhaust is fuel. Does anyone know what could have happened. Could this be a factor or a bad TPS or a bad IAC. The guy I bought it off of said the IAC need to probably be set by a code scanner, then the car would run and drive fine. I have no clue what is causing this! Also when the car does start its blowing blue smoke and smells like gas, coming out the exhaust pipe.

P.S. I change the spark plugs. Fuel pump is working. Spark is good.

Blue smoke or white smoke? White smoke is coolant leaking into the exhaust. Did the car overheat?

If the car is throwing a check engine light, what he meant was a code scanner to see what code it is throwing. Is the car stock? Mods? We need to know a little bit more.
