I installed an AEM intake in MY 97 GST. The car is completely stock except for that. I was just wondering if someone can explain why I hear the BOV through every gear and before I installed it I didnt hear it at all??? Why??

I know it doesnt matter but I was just wondering why???

I'm assuming you have some sort of cone filter then...the open air filter will allow the sound to escape. same thing if you hack the air box, it allows the sound to escape through the filter.

When i first put the 1st gen bov i had the stock airbox and it was quieter than the 2g bov....till i openeed the airbox, now i get all kinds of looks from people when i shift

Do a search on here for the dump tube mod. Its a free mod where you cut the bov return tube from blocking the acordian air intake. Takes about 10min. That will make it louder as well. Everything you do to your car will make it louder and lourder. Hope you don't hate it
