OK, I have posted before with electrical problems... I have replaced the battery and the alternator, no fixes! I have power at the alternator, but it is not getting to the battery. I know that I can attempt to follow the wires to find the problem, but does anyone else have any suggestions?

my problem is that my battery is not being charged by my new alternator, and if it could be something simple that i have overlooked i don't want to start chasing wires...

What is your voltage at idle?

Is the chargeback wire hooked up? Did you check the main fuse?

I had this same problem. My alternator was actually bad, but I replaced that and it still didnt fix the problem.

It ended up being a $2.49 80A fusable link in the fuse box for the alternator. The big black (well mine was black and clear) fuse or fusable link as its technical term is. Just unbolt the wires going to it and pull it out check it out...and why the heck not just replace it...i mean its only $2.49. HTH.
