I have a MBC on my 2G and am seeing a short - about 1 or 2sec - spike to 20+psi under WOT.

What causes a boost spike? Is it because the wastegate is too slow in opening its valve?

Also, when does a spike becomes boost creep?

spike : When it over shoots and then comes down to the set level

Creep : is when the boost hits the set level then never stops. it is most of the time RPM related as it goes up with the RPMS.

What does this happen? Creep is B/C the the W/G can't flow enough and the Spike is from a slow acting W/G. this can be B/C it can't dlow enough soon enough then it catches up as the W/G flows more and more and the pressure on the turbine rises and the other is a bad boost controler. other things like Leaks and so on can effect it but this is it in it's simple form
