I would suggest the kit from Auto Zone, its $20 for 5 different sizes of drills and easy outs. Its more cost effective and will work on a wider range of bolts. I just removed 2 broken ones this weekend with the kit and it works great.rowlex said:I think what you are asking about is the bolt extractor. Go to your local hardware store and pick up a set of em, they dont cost more then 10$. First you drill a hole in the center of the broken stud, put one of the bolt extractors in it (which have reverse flukes, so they will grab the material in the stud) then just simply unscrew the stud. Works great. Here's a good tip I used: if the bolt extractor is having trouble biting in and getting some grip, use a hammer to tap it in a little bit.
Its in the area with all their bits and easy outs, its called OEM 25467 Bolt Extractor SetDjwired said:so how about rethreading?
do u kno what the kit is called by any chance or area it is in?
plus what if it is broken and stripped, like in crooked?
