Yes it is illegal. Clear corner lenses are illegal also. All front turn lamps or running lamps must be orange. I do not know how harsh they are on cars in New York, but I think you could get by. If you were in Cali I would say no.
Clear corners will be fine in cali and we are strict out here. Red, no.

Are you talking about the amber strip that is part of the brake/tail lights on the 2g talons?
no im talking about the amber lights in the front bumper
You can't have them blue or red. It is illegal.
Clear lenses are not illegal if they came factory on car. An E46 m3 coupe has no amber lenses at all on the car. All clear with amber bulbs, they aren't illegal. Red/blue/green lights all illegal, have I had different color bulbs in my cars parking and turn signals, yup, ever got pulled over for it, no.
Clear corners aren't Illegal IF YOU HAVE AMBER BULBS.

I don't see the big deal in amber bulbs...Go buy the Silverstar Ones that "look" Cool but still light up amber...and have your clear corners...Why get haggled over stupid shit.

Red Front lenses I'm pretty sure are Illegal persay...wether or not a Cop is gonna put down his donut to come after you is a Diff story.

I had clear corners and White bright ass bulbs in my car and I NEVER got stopped. But it was a 1989 Suzuki Sidekick...So there wasn't much to get the cops attetion.

Just be smart about it.
