your gonna get flamed for this but...venting to the atmosphere is wasting air that the mas has already counted. So it will in turn run rich...

running stock bov?
Im running the stock bov right now but soon im gana get a new one but i need to know if i can get a blow off valve or need a bypass valve.
man what the hell are you talking about, a bov is a bypass valve.Looks like you need to do some research before you even think of adding any peformance mods to your dsm.Just get rid of the stock bov and buy a 1g bov!

Im talking about bypass = the air vents back into the intake, blow off = vents into atmosphere
You need to search.

You're car won't run right if you vent to the atmoshpere unless you spend the money to go with a blow-thru setup. If you want to vent to the atmosphere just for the cool sound you can do it but I don't understand it. Vent back into the intake, Hack the MAF and the airbox and the sound will be more noticeable and teh car will run fine.
I was starting to get concerned. Nobody had posted anything on this subject in almost an entire week when lo and behold........
