Hi, this has happened to me twice in the past month..whenever i take a sharp turn..my steering wheel locks up..and my car shuts off as if it stalled out..and i don't know what is wrong..is it maybe my power steering belt? or my power steering fluid? I thought I never had to fill it up? I'm not sure..but it's weird and i hope it's nothing big..it happened once when i took a pretty sharp left and once when i took a pretty sharp right..not like really fast..but not like a grandma turn.. Thanks for the help

Well, I've never looked into this - never had your problem. But, I know there is an electrical connection between the power steering pump and the ECU - there is a switch that closes and ups the idle if the power steering pressure increases beyond a certain amount.

So, like I say, I don't know much about this but maybe this will give you hint as to where to start looking.
