hey, im in rome, central/upstate ny near syracuse. Has anyone in a semi close distance to this have theyre motor rebuilt, or know of any respectable machine shops in the area? i need some head/block work done on my rebuild and the 1 in my city i dont trust worth a damn

There's a place in I think Clyde called Farmer's Automotive. From everyone I've ever talked to they do very good work. I've also heard that they'll put the block in a vise type thing that simulates it being bolted into the engine. This is so when boring the block will be under the same pressures and forces as when it's on the car, thus making a better fitment between parts after the work is done.
