[Talon 91AWD]

I've been having problem's with my car, and a lot of people are telling me that it's a bad ECU. Okay, I can deal with that. Now, when I look for a new ECU, what should I be looking for? Does the ECU that I get have to be from the same ecact kind of car?

I have a 1991 Eagle Talon, AWD Turbo, standard. Does it matter if the ECU comes out of the same car, only automatic? Does it matter if the car was Turbo FWD or not? Or does it just have to be from a 1g, turbo? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just find one from a 1g turbo 5-speed car and you should be fine.

The only thing you need to worry about is if the ECU is from a 5-speed or an auto..
The auto's come with 390cc injectors so the fuel map is slightly different, and although you may not notice any difference in regular driving, you will run rich when you go WOT.. If you have an SAFC (or some form of fuel control) then you can simply patch this with it, OTHERWISE...

find a 1g turbo 5-speed ECU.
