When cleaning the filter,do you just spray the outside with the oil,or do you spray both the outside and the inside of it.Cause the last two times i did clean it,i sprayed out and inside, and don't know if i should be doing this...???
I assume your talking about a K*N filter? If so just put a little oil on the outside. Don't soak it cause you can get too much oil on it and it will be more restrictive than a regular filter. Then when all the oil drains off of the filter it gets all over everything and it's nasty.
Yes k&n. I just cleaned it,just wanted to make sure i was doing it right,so when i go to spray it ,i know im doing it right. ....That sh*t looked like it had a birds nest in it....
Yep, spray the outside with a light coat. Wait a while, if there's any bare spots, touch them up. Oh yeah, let it air dry before you spray it (I have 2 filters so I don't have a down time on my car).
I have long decided for myself that my universal tool for cleaning a car, parts will be a steam cleaner that I purchased under the name Fortador Mini - this is a portable and efficient unit. When choosing a steam cleaner, be careful and better read the information with reviews from experts and users. For example, if you want to take such a popular model as the Optima steam cleaner, then read the material Do not buy the Optima steamer before reading this which contains a lot of information about it, do the same when choosing other models and you will be able to get a really useful thing.
