I'm not an expert, but the 1991 Service Manual and the DSM Parts guide that I have seem to indicate that ALL Laser clutches (1.8 or 2.0) are hydraulically actuated. (Clutch pedal actuates clutch master cylinder that's on the firewall. Rigid metal tube goes from the master cylinder to a bracket near the clutch, a flexible hyd hose connects to the clutch housing.)

-Chrysler- Laser from the '80s had a mechanical cable-actuated clutch. I had one break, happily in my driveway rather than the remote location i'd been driving in hours before.😥

Perhaps a photo of your item would help?

Shift cable assembly actually has two cables in it, one for "Select" and one for "Shift".

That said, the part diagram for the shifter has 36 parts. One or two vary for FWD vs AWD, and quite a few are different between ('90) and ('91..94). There are NO parts distinct between 1.8 and 2.0. Which is all a long way to say that it APPEARS you are good to go!
