I finally had a chance to let the "4G63 torrent" upload to MegaUpload for those of you who don't have a torrent software or simply want to download the files easier then through torrents.

The files came from this torrent:

http://www.monova.org/details/412257/DSM%20%20Mitsubishi%20%204G63%20Factory%20Manual%20%20Factory%20Manual%20(www.softzone.org).html

The .daa file that I uploaded to MegaUpload contains the following:

Offline version of the VFAQ
Offline version of the 1000Q
Mitsubishi CAPS (parts search)
Diagnostic Software (Autotech 2.1)
LOADS of PDF's relating to 1g, 2g, Galant, Evo, 4g63, etc...
All Talon Digest copies from 1990 to 1999+

The MegaUpload link for the new download:

*******New 2012 alternative for downloading the FSM: http://filepost.com/files/b4ff7mea/DSM_Repair_Manual.rar/

*NOTICE* You find need a software that can open .daa files for you computer. Just do a simply Google search for free software's that open .daa files and you should have no problem decompressing the files. I used PowerISO for free (downloaded a trial version) and it worked just fine.

Also, I don't know who actually made the torrent so I don't know who to credit but it does not need to go to me (except for letting it upload to MegaUpload for 2 days :D )

This download is beast! I got it when you had the torrent up.

I just used the power ISO trial to burn it to a disc. I'm in the process of making copies for my dsm friends

props

I believe it's 564 MB, that's what my computer is telling me anyways. And my estimated time of download is 45 minutes...did I get the wrong one or do you have slow internet?

Yeah, it's around 500 something MB, basically half a GB.
I believe its much more once you uncompress the .daa file.
Also, just download a trial of PowerISO, it's free and you can uninstall it (if need be) right after you open the files and save them to your hard drive or wherever.

Your welcome guys.
If a mod can sticky this that would be great because I'm sure many DSMer's will find this useful.

I figured it out. You have to double click the field you want to enter info in to figure out what code is needed.

Are you accessing CAPS from 2GNT? This Russki site that I suggested last year is FAR superior. It contains ALL the parts lists for Mitsubishi vehicles, not just the 2GNT.

Note- the firewall my employer is using occasionally prevents me from accessing the site at work. This morning, I can get to the website with both IE6 and Firefox 3. Go figure!

FYI, this is not a torrent, it all came from a torrent.
A torrent requires others to seed (upload) the files which makes it slow and unreliable when only a few people are giving it out.
This is why I uploaded it to a reliable server-so we all do not have to wait for that torrent anymore.
