ok i just had my head gasket replaced and warped head fixed. i was told that when they grind the head down to "unwarp" it that this raises the compression in the cylinders and that's why my car seems a little louder than before. is this true? is it a good thing or bad?

thanks

It's true...This does raise the compression of the engine. I don't think it raises it enough for u to be able to "hear" a difference. Also whether it's good or bad depends on the rest of the setup in ur car. Having higher compression does give u more power...but with a turbo engine ur pistons and all other internals have to be much stronger than stock to be able to support the extra power. (which in ur case shouldn't be too noticable....if at all).
