The coolant light goes on when your coolant bottle gets low. So either its low, or the sensor on the bottom of the bottle is going bad. You can't just replace the sensor, you have to replace the whole bottle. Or just unplug it.

Your coolent must be low, check your overflow bottle. If the sensor is bad you will need to replace the entire bottle I beleive.
