I thik i posted in the wrong section before but my tach doesnt work I got the car used and it didnt work when i got it does anyone have any pictures or diagrams or know how to fix it? could this be a fuse?

Have you checked out your ECU? I am not sure if the 1g's tach is electronically or manually controlled but one of the first fixes on early 1g's is to replace the capacitors on the ECU because they have a tendency to leak.. especially in humid environments

Other things to try would be checking to see there are no severed wires that send the signal for the tach

^pinout for the ECU so you can see tell which wire to trace to make sure there isnt' just a bad connection somewhere..

White wire on ignition power transistor is RPM signal.

does the white wore have a plug on the end because i think it may be unplugged??? but im not sure whre ti goes

PM James92TSi he seems to know more about it than I but.. I really didnt know it existed until he said that in another post..
I would assume it plugs into the engine somewhere.. just look around and see if something has been cut or if you can see a plug that looks similar.. my engine is TOTALLY different thank yours
