Destroyed by a 01 Buick Regal??

This story is from awhile back but better late then never.

So i'm driving around with my gf where all the cars meet late at night and i see this buick regal like an 00 or 01. Its got what looks like an exhaust tip and its tinting i'm like .......... another stupid punk that got his grandpa's car and thinks hes hot shit. So i pull up to him and i see 3 gauges i'm like wtf his license plate says TURBOD or something. I'm like either A.) this guy is retarded and this his car came with a turbo not a super charger or B.) i'm missing something. Finally we get some road and i just screw around with him BOV and such eventually i laugh and gun it, all of a sudden i hear somethign INSANE spool up i'm like WTF and he FLYS by me i couldnt even catch up to him. Sooner or later i get back up to him i'm like "You get rid of the factory supercharger" hes goes "yeah i put a turbo in it" then i ask "Damn what size" "60 trim" me "GOOD GOD MAN" i'm not sure how much boost he was pushing but it was up there. Needless to say i got my ass smoked the next time we went from a roll, now i'm no where near fast or anything but he was putting down some power.

I still cant believe someone would put a 60 trim turbo on a buick regal thats alittle insane if you'd ask me but sure as hell a sleeper

damn man.....a Regal? you would never think to tune one of those up. but like the saying says its a small world after all........ good try tho

don't feel to bad, i got wore out by a lincoln mark 8....the guy told me they come with a detuned cobra motor......and that he had a butt load into the motor....gotta love a good sleeper

Where you at in MI? Around the OH/MI line theres another one and I thought his plate says turbod or turbo2. The car went mid 11s if I'm thinking of the right car.

just liek theres no shame in getting knocked out by a sucker punch, theres no shame im getting blown away by a car thats such a sleeper its comatose

ok, well maybe theres some shame in it

but the shame is offset by the humor of it

Ironically enough i do drive a 99 buick century for my DD and i'm normally on DSMtuners.com only recently started going on here

i do have enough of other kill stories but due to winter nothing recently has happened

The buick regals have a supercharged 3.8L V6 motor. Nowhere close to a 5.7L V8 motor.

At the last Import vs Domestic shootout in ETown this year there was a 92 Z34 Chevy Lumina that cracked off a [email protected] When it rolled up to the line EVERYONE was laughing at him sayin this car is a waste of time.. He shut EVERYONE up.. LoL I went to the pits after to find the car and when I do my man was sportin a Twin Turboed CARBURATED 350 in a RWD Chevelle chassis in which they mated the Z34 body on.. The best part was he never dynoed or tuned the car and he was running 10psi on pump gas.. My friend has pics of this thing in his camera i gotta get em and show it to you guys..

PS - The Regal sports the same drivetrain as the Pontiac GTP's.. Those cars have run 9's on a turbo conversion so it safe to say a heavy ass Regal will run 11's no problem

I prefer 86-87 turbo Regals, but still pretty sweet

The W-body Regals are great sleepers. Even with the stock supercharger, and the supporting mods, they can crack off low 13 hi 12 sec quarters. My boss has a 2001 Dale Earnhardt Monte Carlo SS (NA) and after getting violated by my FWD 90 TSi, and several Hondas, he invested in a Centrifugal Supercharger (Novi 2000) and FMIC and about 12 PSI, and he ran a 12.6 in the quarter at 110.

correct me if im wrong. But I think only the GS models are supercharged. Dosent realy make a shit but just thought id ask.

I love L67 powerd w bodys.. I was going to get 97+ Grad prix Gtp b4 the Talon, but umm, the talon was 600 bux and turbo and sexer..Not saying Gtp are ugly,but cmon who doesnt want a talon ?

o yah btw those Clubgp.com guys are alrite..
