I went yesterday to an audio store and had an 800 watt amp put in along with a Kenwood 12" woofer inside of that box with the clear glass infront of it. It was all instaled for 250$. My question is in what direction should the box be fitted in. Should the speaker be facing towards the back of the car or to the drivers side with the seat down?

Bandpass boxes should always face backwards towards the rear of the car. You shouldn't need to put the seat down.
