I've asked this on the Digest and got only one reply. Does anyone use adjustable cam gears? Has anyone tuned a FWD turbo on a dyno? I've heard you can get approx. 25 hp out of set. Given the restrictive heads on our cars it makes sense. I've heard that three degrees advance on the intake and 1 degree retard on the exhuast is the best combo for the 2G's. Any thoughts? I'd really like to put a set on my AWD.

I got the AEM adj cam spockets on my 91 TSI AWD, intake at 0, exhaust at -5. It's use to adjust the shift point on an stick shift, I don't really feel that much 25hp gain. But they do attract attention.

Well I was under the impression they would do more for a 2G motor than the 1g's since our heads do flow a smaller volume of air.
