i posted a complete wire Scheme awhile ago,, you can also use any of the underdash "entry" lights,
which wire is the positive and which is the negative?
Check out the stickies as they have the wiring information for that. I followed the wiring information posted there for my 95 and my alarm install went great!
You can cheat and grab the "door ajar" lamp wire in the HUD... This one wire will trigger the alarm if any of the 3 doors are opened, eliminating the need to hookup an additional trunk pin input. :D

Use your meter to verrify all connections.
where exactly is the door ajar lamp wire?

On the harness that plugs into the HUD... 1st gens is a solid white wire.. dunno about the 2G, but if it has a HUD light that lights up when any of the 3 doors are opened then it will activate the alarm when any of the three doors are opened.
This is great info. Don't use the door switch as the trigger as they fail often and aren't reliable.

FYI if the door trigger fails,, then no wire will help. lol, all possible connections rely on the door trigger to perform its job,

You are using a power prob of sorts right, and not just hooking up to the wires that you are told,, you should always double check and test the wires before you hook it up.
