Hi,

today I installed a new set of brake-discs in the front. I noticed, that there is lots of play in the left wheel, when I grab it and push it in & out (just like, when you turn the steering wheel).
I saw, that there is a rod (maybe from the steering), which connects via a ball joint(?) to the wheel assembly. Apparently this joint between the rod & the wheel assembly is worn out. (Don' t know the name neither in English, nor in German:confused:)

My question: How hard is it to replace the bushing or joint? Do I need special tools? What shall I look out for???

By using the magical
button I found out, that the worn out thingy is called a tie-rod end.
After some research on other sites I found this fine VFAQ:

Have fun.....comments, hints etc. welcome
