Hahn Racecraft and Star sell a decent turbo kit for the n/a dsm's. They go anywhere from $1,800-3,000 bucks. Installation for all that work would probably start at $500-up. Hell a turbo upgrade for a turbo dsm is like 250-300, so your'e going to be paying an arm and leg for all that.
You can peice a kit together for much less than those haun kits. Hell the only hard part to find is the ex manifold. Other than that you can use a 14b turbo, get aftermarket oil lines (100 bucks), use a stock 1g sidemount, stock 450 dsm turbo injectors (you will need an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator), walbro 190, intercooler pipes, downpipe. You should be able to get ayaw with doing it under a grand if you are only gonna run under 10 psi of boost, after that i would go with forged pistons and rods. That is only an extra 7oo bucks if you are gonna install, plus a little cost for machine work. I would reccomend that you pick up a spare 420a block to rebuild, so that you don't have a bunch of downtime waiting for machine work and parts. If you need someone to build you an engine, i am making really good deals on performance motors right now. I Could do a forged short block for 1,500 that would hold over 500 horses. Let me know what you are going to do, and if you are just gonna turbocharge it, i will make you a parts list of what you will need, i might even have some of the parts that i will hook you up on. peice out man

so, wow..what would the specs be on an egine like that? I would really like to be in that HP area and that might be cheaper than having my engine built...right? lemme know man..I'm hella interested..

I think you are taking things a little too far for this guy...Forged short block and internals?? Who cares if it is good for 500hp, how many n/a-t dsm's do you see even making over 200whp...Not many...

For a guy who just wants to pay some guy to install all of the parts and have everything he needs, a hahn/star kit is perfect...Sure you could mess with a 14b, custom manifold, custom i/c pipes, custom downpipe, a smic, etc etc, but I doubt this guy is into custom fabrication and all....

Good suggestion, but what this guy just needs is a stage II HR kit w/ all the goodies...I say this coming from the fact he says he wants the "most beautiful talon around", and a DIY junkyard turbo kit is just not a beautiful thing imo
BTW, thats not all you need to get to make the kit bryanwheat. Parts list of most of parts you will need to turbo your 420a. I know because I've been looking/researching for my girlfriends 2g RS.

List:
Log Tube Style Exhaust Manifold for a T3 Turbo
T3 Air Research Turbo, internally gated at 5 psi
FMU
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Pressure Gauge
Missing Link
BOV
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler
Accel Fuel Injectors
Turbo Oil Feed Line Kit
Fuel Pump
Boost Gauge

There's more I think... I'm going to keep adding to the list at home till finally its a complete kit before we start buying anything.
