i cant figure out why this light is on, and i dont know what it represents. its the yellow light and it looks like a collosseum (?) with pillars or something. thats the best way i know to describe it. is it the alternator light?

Your coolant reservoir needs to be refilled

i topped it off, but the light continues to stay on

Check the connector under the reservoir and also check the fluid level of the radiator...
