That's just carbon I think it smell's good, like a turbo car should. j/k, run some detergents through your motor, (hint: vfaq.com) and a bottle of fuel systeme cleaner, if it still does it put a cat back on...
Dunno why you'd want it not to puff a little smoke though, it's responsible for that great little black streak you get in your clear coat after a few weeks
