i need some help guys. when i go to shift into 2nd she grinds all to hell. its only when im trying to shift hard in the hightr rpms, its fine when i shift slow and sometimes 1st and rev dose it. ive bled the clutch a few times and it helped a little. who knows how long the tranny fluid had been in there so next there is going to be some good ol bg syncro shift, so i was wondering if i should change my master cylnder or slave if it would make any difference. i have a findaza flywheel and a act 2600. there will br a shep tranny going in eventualy but i wasnt planing on doing that for another yr or so.what should i do fellas.

Sounds like your syncros are going. Generally, third goes before the rest but you never know. Change your tranny fluid and put in some fresh. That helped with mine a little. I have heard bad things about the tranny additives. Unless you run it hard every single day, the tranny should last you the year you want before getting the Shep tranny.
Syncromesh solved a lot of the grinding I used to experience shifting into 2nd. Make sure you have a 17mm and 24mm socket for the fill and drain plugs. Make sure you remove the fill plug first, you don't want to drain your fluid then realize you can't put it back in.

If you're not sure when the transfer case fluid was changed you might as well replace that while you're down there also. I like Redline Heavy Shockproof in the TC.

3 rd usually goes first. I have had about 10 dsm trannys that had grinding 1 and 2 but never 3 rd hmmmmm. As far as the guy with the grinding problems. The new oil is not going to help. You will need to replace the syncros.
Switching to redline helped with mine('97)

Could be a clutch adjustment problem too....or you're driving an '90.
My '90 grinded in 2nd since the day it was born unless you did it just right. :)
All my transmissions have had grinding going into second. I have a 92 trans in it right now,a nd it does the same thing. Clutch engagement is around mid-pedal, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, everything's bled properly. Shifting at around 5K, no grinding, anything over that, you have to wait for the revs to drop before it will go into gear. I can shift third and fourth at 8000rpm's with no problems.

Fidanza Aluminum flywheel, ACT 2900, few other mods.

same here,2nd grinds when driven hard. However it also grinds if I'm not gentle with it when the cars cold.Once it warms up it's fine.Welcome to the Grinders club! :p We grindin'we grindin'
I had the same grind. I just wanted to get by until I replaced the tranny also and I used the Lucas oil tranny additive and it worked great no more grinds. I also babied it a little more to get me by.
