Has anyone painted the roof a different color?

As in two racing stripes going down the entire length of the car? IMHO, I think that would look like ass. Racing stripes only look good on a handful of domestic muscle cars. But that's my opinion. If you think it will look good, go for it, it's your car so it's really your choice.

Why don't you photoshop it, and see what you can come up with?

I'll see if I can find some decent pictures, and photoshop them, and I'll post them here in a day or two.

Sounds like a plan. Thats how I planned all of my color changes. Personally, I don't know how well it would look. You'd have to get all the trim painted body color, also, and possibly the mirrors. It's all in what you want though, it's your car.

i think it would look good..ive seen some eclipses/talons with those stripes and they really look mean

I painted a 2g talon with racing stripes on "Forza Motorsports" and it looked badass. I really liked it, I had the whole car painted one color and dual stripes over the whole thing. I think you should do what you think looks best and not what everyone else wants though.

imo , i think it will look a little RICEY, if you like it go ahead, but it just reminds me of those cars with fart can exhausts and nike decals....if you can do it cleanly it can look good, some peple are able to pull it off.

Because I've never seen them pulled off well on anyother vehicle.

I 2nd that.
If they didn’t come with the car just leave it alone
Some of the stripes where sticker packages but they where meant for the car.
On anything else it looks out of place.

Yea I did those as a demonstration to someone as to how hideous they looked, I also committed the near ultimate sin of photoshopping altezzas on my car to prove another point.

Edit: I just realized you and I are the only two who've posted in this thread that joined before 2005.

My car is the silver and blue paint scheme and the previous owner pained the mirrors and roof silver looks good. I like it I'll take pics later

Not anymore

IMHO it'll look like crap with stripes on it. Just painting the top looks good if done properly. I mean just the roof, not painting the rubber trim pieces that go along the glass.

Yea please don't make the all too common mistake of painting the parts that are supposed to be black.
