Help Throttle sticking?

543 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  95talon_TSi
My idle is set at 1000 RPM and today I noticed it moved to 1500 RPM and then up to 2000 RPM and then up to 3000 RPM on my way home today. Where do I start looking on this. It seems like something is sticking. I am new to dsm can someone tell me what to look for?

When it goes up, leave the car running and pop the hood and move the throttle back to the orignal position by hand, lube cable and make the cable have alittle more slack.

I had the same thing happen to me. Just loosen the cable a little bit. when you have throttle cables that have a little time on them then it starts to become an issue. Good luck getting it goin better
