I started my car today and it made a weird noise then after a minute or two it started to make a squeeling sound. I drove it home and saw some smoke through my headlights, thinking I was dangerously low on oil i checked it and put in a quart, then i started it back up and it still made the sound and was smoking. It looked like the smoke was coming from the timing belt, it smelled like rubber burning, but I looked at the belt quickly and it seemed to be allright, although it's dark right now.

Anyways, I'm really nervous about driving it to the mechanics or doing anything with it for fear of the belt snapping. Anybody have any ideas?!?

Gotta be a belt that's bound up somewhere on something - don't crank it again until someone roots into the drivers side of the engine bay - have it towed if necessary but don't hit the key.
