how does the evoIII hit when it has full boost?

Hi,

can anyone who drives a 2G with a FP EVOIII tell me,
what it feels like when the turbo hits full boost?
Does it throw you into the seat?
Does it feel like the T25? or
does it builds up boost more linear? so there is no "hoooly shh....." when hitting full boost?

I'm not sure about getting EVOIII or FP BIG28

I used the search button ;)
could not find anything.

I have the FP evo3 on my car and am running 14 psi with all supporting mods. The turbo spools quick and puts you in your seat pretty good, not even comparible to the t25. My buddy has a t28 on his gst and it pulls nice, but the 16g is definately stronger. It is a very capable turbo, and FP is a good choice. Hope this helps.
:D Im glad you posted a post like this one because I was wondering the same thing.lol. I too am getting a evo III 16g turbo for my gst. CANT WAIT!!
Hi,

so that means, despite the EvoIII will hit boost a little bit later than
the BIG28, when the EvoIII reaches full boost it will hit much harder?

thanks

Exactly.
I loved my evo III. Never had a t28 but ridden in cars with them and didnt think much of it.
I have an evoIII 16g also and i can say i can't compare to a t25 but i'm happy with it, there's deffinately potential if your not looking to go balls out but still beat most everything on the street. Personally, i'd go bigger from the beginning but that's just me. I have a set of 550 inj and a front mount for sale that would look noice?! :)

The killer t28 hits jsut has hard as the 16g. my 2g fwd with ther killer t28 would loose traction in a 3rd gear pull, 5th gear pulls in the wet are tricky as you will spin just as easy, this is tuned with supporting mods and 300 whp/wtq, and the t28 makes peak of low end torque be like 3500 rpm, and has full boost around 3200 rpm. They are both about the same. The thing that I love is that my car is the ultimate sleeper, people think I have a t25 with a fmic and an exhaust, they just cant understand how surprisingly fast my car is. The evo iii is clearly not stock looking, and it didnt bolt directly on to my previously ported 2g manifold.

Its entirely up to u i think the killer t28 flows like 1 pound less than the evo iii.

And yes the t28 forces you into the seat nothing like 300+ ft pounds of torque instantanouesly with no lag whenever u punch it :D
my buddy has A EVO VIII and it will put you in the seat :D

Different topic entirely. He's asking about an Evo III turbo, not the Evo VIII car.
I think he knew, thats what the huge grin was for.

Anyway, the evo3 definately hits pretty well. The spoolup is not that much slower than a 14b, but it has a good deal more power up top. One of my friends had one, and I liked how it spooled almost stock, but when you hit full boost it was obvious that it wasn't. The evo3 is definately a great street turbo.

Hell my 14b sucks me back in the seat! :D

I plan on also getting an EVOIII this spring or summer :)
anybody felt it at 24psi, tuned?? it pulls me back so hard, i thought i was gonna loose control and hit the other cars on the other line... scared my buddy in the passenger side, he was screaming like a girl...
I don't know about loosing traction in 3rd unless you have some shit tires on there but from a 40roll in second at 20psi tuned it will definatly turn the tires to smoke like you were launching in first with the t-25. A good comparison would be, a 50hp to the wheel difference than the t-25, "with the t-25 maxed out at 17psi and the evo3 at 19psi." A front mount will just help even more... I this dyno info on another thread on here when I was looking at buying my turbo. Hope this helps

Smoking the tires and loosing traction are different things. I lost traction in third, around peak torque it was nuts. tires were like touring all seasons on stock 16" rims
Im new to this site but i have an Evo III big 16g and it puts me back in my seat alot better than the stock t25 i can tell you that. the evoIII pulls alot harder top end around 5500 rpms to redline usually where my t25 would struggle at.
