Flow and pressure are two different things.

Just like volts and amps in electricity. (Volts = pressure amps = flow)

Think of a 3" pipe flowng at 5psi vs a .001" pipe flowing at 50psi.

Which one has more volume? See?

cfm != pressure

it could put 200 psi in to a straw, or 14.4 psi in to the atmosphere

if youre talking about our cars, though, 450cfm should be good to push 18-20 psi of pressure without spooling too fast or spitting out hotter, thusly higher pressure air.
