How to install cam seals

First thing to do is remove the timing belt, cam gears and valve cover.

Now remove the #1 cam cap bolts

Wiggle the cap off next

The old seal will slide right out.

Lube the new seal on the inner lip, oil, white grease even a bit of wheel bearing grease will work. Anything so the seal will not have a dry start.

Next slip the new cam seal on the cam, use caution so not to bend the inner lip of the seal backwards.
Push the seal so it seats against the head casting.

Now I apply a small dab of non harding aviation gasket maker

Now install the cap and torque it to spec.
