Hi, just trying to figure out what my problem is. My car started making a humming noise with some vibration about a week or two ago. I check the driver's side axle and it was toast(both boots torn). I drove around on it until today when I replaced the axle. I figured the axle was causing the noise but it's still there. Its a loud humming noise that sounds like excessive road noise from the tires but isn't. It goes away when i turn left and hits hard when i turn right. I am pretty sure my driver's side hub/bearing is wrecked. Please let me know what you think it could be. Thanks.

Sounds like the bearing to me. Does the sound change with speed? I remember my Mazda used to eat wheel bearings like candy...
