How about this... build you DSM up and the day you pull an LS1 on a ROLL, you'll know you've done something right... yanking an LS1 from a stop is a hell of lot easier than it is to yank one from a roll... the 2 are totally different ball games.
if it weren't for bastard hp and torque curves then possibly. because at 30mph the 2nd gear car will be pulling like a beast while the car in 4th will be idling, but once they hit 60mph the 2nd gear one will stop just as the 4th gear car has been in max boost for about 1000 rpm.
