My knowkc sensor needs to be replaced and I just dorve my car really hard, like up to 7000rpm. I am wondering what kind of damage this could of done, the car seems to be running the exact same, but I think I heard a little bit of pinging when I was idiling.

How do you know your knock sensor is bad?

If the knock sensor is broken or disconnected, the ECU will automatically pull back timing. The ECU needs a signal from the knock sensor to advance timing.

So your car should be fine.
